Our Methodology
Every child is different. Their care should be too.
Thoughtfully tailored support your family can trust. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the foundation — but how we apply it is what makes the difference. Our approach is naturalistic, play-based, and built around what your child actually responds to.

The methodology
ABA is the most studied intervention for children on the autism spectrum or with other special needs. At ECD, we use a naturalistic developmental behavioral approach — meaning we work inside the activities your child already enjoys instead of forcing a clinical drill format. The science is the same. The experience is different.
How a typical program comes together
Initial assessment.
After completing a direct skills and behavior assessment with your child, a BCBA sits down with you, learns about goals, sensory profile, communication style, and current challenges.
Custom program design.
Goals are written specifically for your child. Every program is data-driven; nothing is one-size-fits-all.
Sessions begin.
Most kids do 10 to 30 hours of therapy per week, depending on the goals and what your funding supports.
Caregiver coaching woven in.
Parents and primary caregivers learn the techniques and language we use so therapy carries into the home.
Quarterly reviews.
We look at data together, celebrate wins, adjust what isn't moving.
What we measure (and why it matters)
ABA is unique because progress is measured, not assumed. We track data on every session — frequency, duration, prompting levels, generalization. Parents get clear summaries, not jargon dumps.
Powered by Play. Driven by Progress.
This isn't a slogan. It's how we structure sessions. Play is the entry point — it's how kids learn best. Progress is the output — measured, visible, shared with you in plain English every step.
